Electrical circuits and appliances start life perfectly safe in most cases but with use can deteriorate to an extent where there is a risk of an electric shock or a fire. Testing is much like the MOT checks carried out on your car and regular testing ensures that electrical systems and appliances continue to be safe.
Our process is simple:
-
When you book your appointment we agree the testing date/time and ensure you are happy with the price (which is all you will pay).
-
Upon arrival we will quickly assess your site and confirm if there may be any known issues or specialist equipment.
-
As well as user checks and the formal visual inspection, a calibrated test machine is used to perform a series of specific tests (which we will explain to you).
-
The circuits are identified or appliances are uniquely identified and tagged with a pass or fail sticker with the valid test date, initials and company contact details displayed.
-
A PAT report or detailed EICR is created which is made available to you and stored on a database.
-
To complete the process you will be invoiced for the work and you can pay instantly by Visa/MasterCard or through BACS, Cheque, Paypal, Apple-pay or any other preferred payment method.
-
Once your payment is processed you will receive your unique PAT compliance certificate OR EICR certificate.
-
In the case of an EICR there might be remedial work required to rectify issues. We will explain this to you and agree pricing.
Your PAT or EICR renewal will be scheduled for the next testing period including any specific requirements.
We can also carry out minor repairs, fuse and plug top replacements on site for you. We test 110v tools and extensions but can also test 415v items if required.
We also offer longer term renewal agreements that are arranged on a fixed price basis.
Please ask for further details.
In many cases we can organise a tailored, rolling schedule and only test what is necessary which can save you money.
